Do You Know the Three S's?
Chances are you know about the “three R's”: reading, 'riting and 'rithmetic. Knowing how to read, write and do math are important skills for everyday life. But do you know about the “three S's”? They stand for Saving, Spending Wisely and Sharing. And when it comes to dealing with money, the three S's are just as important as the three R's! Here's what they mean:

Saving
Is there something really special you'd like? A bicycle? A computer game? A new outfit? To make sure you can afford to buy the things you want, you'll have to save some of the money you receive for allowance, birthday gifts, baby-sitting, or chores. Saving money takes discipline, but it's really worth it!

Spending Wisely
Ever buy something you thought you wanted, only to lose interest in it a week later? That's not a wise way to spend your money. Controlling your spending and buying only those things you really want or need will help your money go further.

Sharing
Giving to others is an important part of life. Donating some of your money to a charity or using it to buy a birthday or holiday gift, can really make someone happy. And you'll feel pretty good, too!
